Lesser known singers- Singer 6 (Binota Chakraborty)
—————————————
In the early era of films, the line between the various language films was very thin. Films were often made taking inspiration from other language films. Many times films were made on topics related to other languages. For example, films on Sant Tukaram, Dnyaneshwar, Sant Sakhu, Gora Kumbhar and even Namdeo-the saints popular in Maharashtra-were made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films were also made on the lives of on Sant Tulsidas and Kabir.

Incidentally I had written down the lyrics of this unused song from the film ‘Aan”, yesterday only. When I send two /three song writeups to Atul ji , it is better to give him breathing space. So instinctively, I try to hold on and not send him any more till he posts these.

Here in this blog we discuss songs from Hindi movies on a daily basis. Since we discuss songs so it is natural that we discuss the people also who are involved in the making of these songs. They could be the singers, lyricists or the music directors, or they could be actors figuring in the picturisation of these songs. Rougly speaking, this blog by now had 6280 plus songs from 2000 plus movies. Over three hundred singers, over three hundred lyricists, and over two hundred music directors have been discussed in the blog so far. I have not counted the number of actors figuring in these songs, but that number is likely to be more than three hundreds as well.
