“Khoobsoorat” (1952) is one of the obscure movies with Madan Mohan’s music in it. I have little idea about the cast of this movie, but I find that this movie has a song sung by Suraiyya. This tells me that Suraiyya was clearly there in this movie as the leading lady. And this also tells me that Madan Mohan in that case had a few of his songs sung by Suraiyya too.

Most movies in which Madan Mohan composed movies ended up as box office disasters. Many of these movies are today remembered mainly for their music rather than for anything else. And what timeless music these movies had !

Madan Mohan composed music in as many as 92 movies in his career as a music director. When I look back, I find that I have discussed Madan Mohan songs from as many as 64 movies in this blog. It means that songs from 28 movies are yet to be represented. With this realisation, now I am motivated to discuss Madan Mohan songs from the missing movies.
