The Hindi movie music has undergone changes with time. It is seen that the music style of the dominant music director of the era is ofter copied by other music directors. For instance, there were occasions when Madan Mohan, Roshan etc copied the music style of O P Nayyar, whereas Kalyanji Anandji’s music sounded like Shankar Jaikishan during late 1950s to mid 1960s. Music directors copied the music style of R D Burman during 1970s.

This is a soulful song from film Dil-E-Nadaan-1953,sung by Asha Bhosle, very effectively.
I know I have not been doing justice to Asha’s songs, for a long time now. It’s not that I dont like them, but somehow these songs almost never made it to my writings. Some of the solo songs of Asha, both Filmi and Non filmi are, in my opinion, any day better sung than Lata Mangeshkar !

“Dil e Naadaan” (1953) is a movie starring Talat Mehmood, Shyama and Peace Kanwal.
Here is a song from this movie which is sung by Sudha Malhotra. The song is picturised on Shyama singing this melancholic song inside her room, with Peace Kanwal wondering outside what is going on.

I have discussed as many as four songs from “Dil e Nadaan” (1953) but I was not aware of this song. This is a delightful song which is sung by Jagjit Kaur. The song is picturised wonderfully well. The picturisation shows Peace Kanwal singing this song, Shyama dancing on it and Talat Mehmood playing the violin. One elderly gentleman is also visible in the picturisation but I am anable to identify it.
