I have become a big fan of music director Ganesh. He was the younger brother of Pyarelal ( of Laxmikant Pyarelal music director duo) and he was an amazingly talented music director on his own. It is unfortunate that Ganesh did not get many opportunities to showcase his talent. But whatever little opportunitiies he got are enough to establish his credentials.

Listening to this song prima facie reminds one of the tune of the song “Rangeela re” (“Prem Pujaari”), but as one begins to listen further to this song, this song sounds nice on its own merit.

There were talented music directors in Bollywood who failed to get enough opportunities to show their worth. Ganesh, the younger brother of Pyarelal ( of Laxmikant Pyarelal fame) was one such talent. The few opportunities that he got as music directors saw him give us a glimpse of his talent, but unfortunately his movies flopped taking the songs in their wake.

Today is the day Rafi left this world 28 years ago. And the Bollywood music world truly lost its voice. Every year, we pay our heartfelt tribute to Rafi in various ways on this day. One way of paying our tribute is by playing his immortal songs.
There are some songs that are bound to figure in everyone’s list on this occasion.
Not all of these great songs were created by big name music directors. There are some immortal Rafi songs created by lesser known Music directors as well. People may not have heard of these music directors, these songs may not have become too popular in countdown shows,the movies containing these songs may have sunk without a trace- but one fact remains. All these Rafi songs have become immortal nevertheless.
