“Baaz” (1953), not to be confused with “Baazi” (1951), was a H G Films production, which was Geeta Bali’s home production. The movie was directed by Guru Dutt. The movie had Geeta Bali, Guru Dutt, K N Singh, Kuldeep Kaur, Jaswant, Yashodara Katju, Johny Walker etc in it.

I have mentioned it in the past that Rafi and Geeta Dutt have sung about 155 duets together and the majority of these duets are not under O P Nayyar or S D Burman’s music direction, but under the baton of Chitragupta.

Yesterday Raja got me going on Geeta Dutt-Rafi duets after he sent me some statistics regarding Geeta Dutt songs in general and Geeta Dutt-Rafi duets in particular. According to those details, Geeta Dutt has sung most number of her songs for Chitragupta (about 100 songs). Also, Geeta Dutt has sung 155 duets with Rafi, and most number of these duets (30 numbers) are with Chitragupta, which may come as a surprise for music lovers, who may guess otherwise.
