I have actively looked for songs on ‘dheere dheere’ theme and have found a few good songs from 50’s decade. In this process, I found many songs which suit this theme and are already posted, apart from some famous songs which I had listed in an earlier post of this series.

The movie had Sheikh Mukhtar, Suraiyya, Vijaylaxmi, N A Ansari, Kamaljeet, Meera Devi, Minu Mumtaz, Helen, Bhagwan, Umar Daraj, Kamal Mohan, Jagdish Kamal, Uma Devi, Uma Dutt, Akkan, T N Charlie, Amina, S T Hussaini, Fazal Kareem, Vimal Kapoor, Ranjana Kumari, Robert Armstrong etc in it with Harish in guest appearance.

After Malika-e-Tarannum Noor Jehan left India post-Partition, Suraiya (1929-2004) was the undisputed Singing Superstar of Bollywood for the next several years.
