For a long time, I have been confused between this song and the song “aaj kal tere mere pyaar ke charche har zubaan par”. There was much in common between these songs. Both songs were sung by Rafi for Shammi Kapoor and Shankar Jaikishan were the music director in both cases.

It is a very old song, but very much a gold standard song. I have listened to this song for a long time and liked it very much. And all these days I was thinking that I had already discovered all the rail songs a few months ago. May be I need to watch more Shammi Kapoor songs.

I have posted quite a few lullabies. They are typically sung by females for small kids. But trust Shammi Kapoor to sing a lullaby for his girlfriend ! Yes, this is what he does in this movie called “Boyfriend”.
