“Kavita”(1944) was directed by K J Parmar and Mahesh Chandra Chunawala for Prakash Pictures. The movie had Ratnamala, Umakant, Jeevan, Kanta Kumari, Baby Tara, Badri Prasad, Rekha Pawar, Alaknanda, Chandrika, Sitaram, Athavale, Chhote Jaan, Lakshman, Bholaram, Tikaram etc in it.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 70

The date ten years ago, viz 4 september 2010 saw as many as seven songs discussed in the blog, in ascending order of release of movies that the songs belonged to. The first song of the day was posted as 5 :48 AM whereas the seventh and final post of the day got publiushed at 7:58 AM ! Those were the days when the task of posting seven songs was over before 8 AM !
Here are the details of these seven songs :-

‘Nirmohi’, from 1952 is a film produced by Shriram Sharma, and directed by Baij Sharma for the banner of Sheetal Movies, Bombay. The cast of actors in this social drama includes Nutan, Sajjan, Raj Mehra, Leela Misra, Chaman Puri, Neeru, Amarnath, CL Kavish, Neeru, Kanchan etc. amongst others. The eight songs in this film are shared between Uddhav Kumar, Indeevar and PN Rangeen, as far as song writing is concerned. Music is by Madan Mohan. This particular song is from the pen of Indeevar. The singing voices are those of Kavita and Lalit Mohan.

“Kavita” (1944) is by now a forgotten movie and hardly any details of this movie are available now. From the little that is available on internet, it would seem that this movie was directed by Mahesh Chandra and this movie had Ratnamala and Umakant in it (and not necessarily as the lead pair of the movie).
