I am aware of at least two movies by the name “Seema”. One was released in 1955 and another was in 1971. Curiously, both these movies had music by Shankar Jaikishan.

“Bandini” (1963) was a melancholic movie, and so one assumes its songs to be melancholic too. But not all songs of this movie are sad songs.

Shobhana Samarth, a leading actress of her time had launched her elder daughter Nutan through a home production called “Hamaari Beti”. When her younger daughter Tanuja too grew old enough to act in movies, Shobhana Samarth produced another movie called “Chhabili” (1960). In addition to Tanuja, Nutan and Shobhana Samarth had also acted in this movie.

There are a few people who say that “Shabaab” (1954) was one where Naushad gave his best music. I hope the people who hold this opinion are aware that Naushad was the music director of movies like “Baiju Baawra”, Mughal e Azam” etc as well. There are others who feel that “Baiju Baawra” could be the best creation of Naushad.
