Listening to this song always has the effect of taking me back to 1960s, when things were much more simple and simplified. A song like this had a magical effect on listeners and they felt the urge to be drawn towards the movie halls screening this movie. Watching Sadhana could be the second (distant) reason and watching Rajendra Kapoor may be the third (even more distant) reason. One only needs to delete all the songs and make people watch this movie, and let us see whether Jubilee Kumar would have really been able to carry the movie as he was reputed to be.

“Anita”(1967) is a movie starring Manoj Kumar and Sadhana. it was the third part of a trilogy of mystery woman movie that Raj Khosla made. The other two being Wo Kaun Thi and Mera Saayaa. It had several leading stars of the time namely Sunil Dutt,Sadhana,Raj Kumar,Sharmila Tagore,Shashi Kapoor,Balraj sahni,Achla Sachdev etc. The story line, that had the big family of Balraj Sahni separating in an earthquake, only to meet again towards the end, may look hackneyed now, but it was a novelty those days.In fact, it was the story of this movie that led to multi-starrers, as well as lost and found movies of 1970s.
