Browsing the blog always brings some surprises for me and reminds me of some forgotten songs. There are movies where some of their songs are very popular and familiar, while the some songs from these films remained unexplored and forgotten.

“Samjhauta” was a movie that has been forgotten by now. And it is unfortunate that its songs have been forgotten too. The movie has not one but two great songs, one sung by Rafi, and another by Kishore Kumar, and unfortuntely both songs are difficult to come by, be it their video or just audio. And it is a shame really.

“Samjhauta”(1973) was a movie that went unnoticed. Many people may not even have heard of this movie or its songs. Personally I heard its title song viz “samjhauta ghamon se kar lo”, but I have not been able to locate its video.
