The star cast included Ranjan, Shakila, Kamini Kaushal, K N Singh, Agha, Mukri, Achala Sachdev, Cuckoo, Neeru, Ramesh Sippy etc. With Ranjan as the hero, it is apparent that the film belonged to the genre of action/costume drama.

Song no. 5 is one more duet, which is too good a song to not be known. This is by Shamshad Begum and Mohammed Rafi. I mean songs like this when writing that there are many better and rarer songs which could have been part of the Rafi series. I missed out on including this one.

The image of Chitragupt is that of a music director – a creator of a treasure trove of heavenly melodies that are so numerous that a good representative sampler will take a long time to compile. In a career that lasted almost five decades in the industry, he composed music for almost 150 films in Hindi and Bhojpuri. Most of the time he had to be content with B/C grade stunt films and religious films, with a few sorties into the A grade categories. But whatever may have been the grade, the music by him has always been fabulous, no matter what the category of the film, and whatever was its fate.
