This movie, a historical movie, was adjusted as boring by janta, and they kept away. Songs of this movie did marginally better, though they were by no means Binaca geetmala chart busting songs.
The most popular song from this movie was indeed this song sung by Lata. It was a nice song, almost like the Lata songs circa 1960s. In fact, for some reason, this song reminds me somewhat of the song of “Tower House” that went ” Ae mere dile nadan tu gham se na ghabrana”. Of course, these two songs are of entirely different genre.

This is a beautiful song and it has one more stanza which is missing from the post.It is-

Lovely song. And indeed it reminds me also of “aye mere dil-e-nadaan…”. Surely it must be because of the dil-e-nadaan connection.
