There was one chalu timepass song in the movie called “Thodi Si Bewafaai” (1980), that was fairly popular at that time. This song was a duet sung by lesser singers (Anwar and Sulakshana Pandit) and the song went “Mausam mausam lovely mausam”. One oes not associate such chaalu kind of lyrics from Gulzar but he actually wrote this lyrics.
Unlike many other lyricists who may only be capable of writing chaalu songs, Gulzar was capable of writing great lyrics as well, as we all know very well. In fact, one song from this movie actually won the award for the best song of the year.The award winning song from this movie (“hazaar raahein mudke dekhin”) as well as the other memorable song (“aankhon me hamne aapke”) have already been posted in this blog.
