In mainstream Bollywood movies, there are two standard fares. One is songs, and the other is fights.
I have always wondered why Bollywood movie makers cannot combine the two, and why cannot we have songs and fights simultaneously.

This movie “Madhosh” (1951) was one of the earliest movies of Madan Mohan as a music director and also Meena Kumari as an actress. This movie had Manhar Desai, Meena Kumari and Usha Kiran in lead roles.

The most credit for a Bollywood movie song goes ( or should go) to the music director. It is he who gets the lyricist to write the song, decides on the orchestra and tells the singer (s) how to sing the song.
