Rut albeli mast samaan

When one watches old Bollywood songs, one can often see things that then existed at that time. For instance, watching the Bombay of old Bollywood movies give us a glimpse of that city as it then was.
The present day generation may not believe it if they are informed that Victoria/ Tonga used to ply in Bombay a few decades ago, and that there used to be trams too in Bombay in the past. And of course, the population at that time was far less, and land was available in Bombay in Juhu area at something like Rs 50 per square yard in 1950s !
Here is a song from “Shreemaan Satyawaadi” (1960). It is a Tonga/ victoria song, where Raj Kapoor rides in this horse driven carriage and sings this song. Mukesh is the playback singer and this song is written by Gulzar. Dattaram is the music director.

I think his full name was “Gulzar Denvi”. Other songs from him in the same movie were:
bheegi hawaaon mein teri adaaon mein
ek baat kahoon vallaah

So it means that it was this different Gulzar who wrote the lyrics of some of the well known songs of early 1960s ? For example, there is one song from “Kabuliwala” (1961)that goes “Gangaa aaye kahaan se”, is also written by Gulzar.
