Here is a nice car song from “Shrimaan Satyawaadi” (1960). Unlike most car songs, where there is either one or two persons, here there are three persons in the car.
Mehmood is seated in the driver’s seat with a lady playing his romantic interest seated beside him (any idea who she is ?). Raj Kapoor takes the back seat.
PS-Raja has kindly identified the lady as Shakila.
This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor (for Mehmood), Suman Kalyanpur ( for Shakila) and Mukesh (for Raj Kapoor).
Gulzar is the lyricist and Dattaram is the music director. I am informed that this Gulzar is different from the gulzar that we know today. It is a new information for me.
This song, apart from being a car song, can be described as a light hearted romantic song as well. The tune is racy and the song is hummable, as was the case with most Dattaram compositions.
PS-I had found out since that Gulzar is the same as the present day Gulzar who used to write lyrics as Gulzar Dinvi in his earlier days.

The lyricist is very much Gulzar Saab only difference is he was using Dinvi with his title because he was from Dina Modern day Pakistan

Have just seen this movie. Lovely, light-hearted song. There are a couple of other nice songs too.
Btw, this actress is Shakila, heroine of the movie.
