Naseeb mein jiske jo likhaa thaa

I may have posted over 2800 + songs in this blog, but that is only a small part of all the great Hindi songs that have ben created over the decades. Many well known songs from many well (or even well known) movies are yet to be posted.
Here is a well known song from a well known movie that was not yet posted, The movie is “Do Badan” (1966) and the song is “naseeb mein jiske jo likhaa thaa”. This is a party song in this movie in which Manoj Kumar is seen singing a song in a party organised in a hotel. Those days, movie parties were shown to be held in palatial homes belonging to the hero/heroine. It is good to see picturisation of such songs keeping pace with changing times.
Location of this party/ get together song may have changed, from the topic has not. Like in most other songs of this genre, here too the hero has only one thing in his mind , and that is the “bewafaayi” of the song. How original !
Besides Manoj Kumar, the picturisation shows Asha Parekh, Pran, Simi Garewal etc.
Song itself is quite an iconic song. It is sung by Rafi. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist, and Ravi, who had the midas touch for creating iconic songs, is the music director.

I just noticed that you have not posted ANY of Rafi saab’s iconic songs in this movie. This is just one of the three.
The other two are
– bhari duniya mein
– raha gardishon mein hardam
Although they are all sad songs, they are all lovely. The movie got a bit screwed up towards the end otherwise I liked it for about 80%. In any case, lovely songs in the movie. Ravi’s music.
