“Jalti Nishaani” (1957) is an obscure movie by now. It had Geeta Bali and Kamal Kapoor in lead roles. Kuldeep Kaur,Sundar,Ulhaas,Chaman Puri etc had also figured in this movie.
I have no idea about the storyline of the movie. Like the movie, its songs too are rare to find. But the songs of this movie are nice to listen to. I have discussed one song from this movie (Aaj bhari mehfil mein ae dil ) in the past. Here is another song from “Jalti Nishaani” (1957) whose lyrics are sent to me by Sudhir.
This is a rare gem indeed. It is sung by Lata. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist and Anil Biswas in the music director. Only the audio of this song is available, but it can be safely assumed that this song is picturised on Geeta Bali in the movie.
