“Baaton Baaton Mein” (1979) is a movie that was not about superhuman characters, but about average day to day characters like you and me. And the depiction of their hopes, aspirations, joys, sorrows and other feelings of the characters were so natural and one could empathise with them. And when these feelings are expressed in the form of songs which are written with heart, composed with sensitivity and sung with feeling, that such songs are bound to be remembered and recalled.
Here is a superb song from “Baaton Baaton Mein” (1979). During those days when this movie was released, I did not much care about movies like this, as I was more into the mainstream movies which showed more action that emotions, but now, when I look back into that era, it is songs like this that I want to remember that era for, rather than for the action stuff.
On the occasion of Kishore Kumar’s death anniversary (13th october), here is this wonderful song from “Baaton Baaton Mein” (1979). Yogesh is the lyricist and the Rajesh Roshan is the composer of this soft music. Kishore Kumar’s voice expressed the feelings of the character (played by Amol Palekar) so eloquently and adds additional dimensions to the song way beyond his brief. Wonderful stuff indeed.

This song, for some reason gives me goosebumps, every time I listen to it. There is a divine feeling in this song. Thanks a lot for posting this song.

Wow! I’m listening to this song after SO many years! I saw this movie ages ago and must have last heard this song then. After that somehow it just went off my radar. And I’m SO happy to hear it today. It is such a beautiful song. Kishore da’s voice is just SO fantastic here.
