on:“Khel” (1950) was a Shaheen pictures presentation. This movie was directed by S M Nawab. The movie had Dev Anand, Nigar Sultana, Nargis, Hafiz Jehan, Anwar, Neelam, Murad etc in it.
This movie had nine songs in it. As many as six songs from this movie have already been discussed in this blog.
Here is the seventh song from the movie. This song is sung by G M Durrani. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. Musi is composed by Sajjad Hussain. Video of this song is not available, but Mr Khwaja Sultan Ahmad informs us that this song was picturized on Dev Anand while walking dejectedly in a deserted street at night.
The blog has by now covered as many as 70 Sajjad Hussain compositions, and we can take pride on bringing so many Sajjad Hussain compositions (many of them rare ones)together at one place. Hopefully one day we will be able to have at least a century of Sajjad Hussain songs here, as and when his as yet unavailable songs get discovered and become available.

Song-Apni mehfil mein phir ik baar chala aane de (Khel)(1950) Singer-G M Durrani, Lyrics-Jaan Nisaar Akhtar, MD-Sajjad Hussain
Lyrics
Apni mehfil mein
phir ik baar
chala aane de
apni mehfil mein
phir ik baar
chala aane de
teri mehfil ki
bahaaron ko nahin chhedoongaa
tere toote huye
taaron ko nahin chhedoongaa
apni mehfil mein
phir ik baar
chala aane de
koi aansoo
meri palkon se nahin tootegaa
tere phoolon ka haseen rang nahin chhootegaa
apni mehfil mein phir ik baar chala aane de
doob jo jaaye
doob jo jaaye
shikayat na karoonga tujhse
tu kahegi to mohabbat na karoonga tujhse
apni mehfil
apni mehfil mein phir ik baar chala aane de

‘shikayat’ na karoonga tujhse
I suppose there is no way of finding the video. I would very much like to see this picturized on Dev Anand of 1950.
