I have been discussing songs from “Daroga jee” (1949) and it is very interesting to find one song after another, all of them meant to be female solos,meant to be picturised on Nargis. I wonder if the hero of this movie, namely P Jairaj too had any songs in to lip sync or whether he was just a glorified extra in it.

Mukesh, a voice filled with magic, a poignant and a simple, unpretentious sound. A voice that attracts with its sweet mellifluous tones. A voice that remains a unique rendition to date. Never up there is the top brackets like Rafi Saab or Kishore Da. And yet, the voice that has left an indelible mark on the Hindi film music. And also bequeathed scores of veritable gems for the listening pleasure of music lovers.

“Shree Ganesh” (1962) is a movie produced by Combine Film Traders presentation. It was directed by S S Dharwadkar. The star cast of this religious B grade movie included names like Mahipal,Sahira,Jeewan Kala,Tiwari,Ramesh Desai, Uma Dutt, Indira, Krishna Kumari, Nilofar etc.

There was a movie called “Nadir Shah” about which hardly any information seems to be available. Some sites mentions it as movie of 1958 and other sites as a movie of 1968.
