Interesting to know that Juthika Roy has sung few songs in Hindi Movies. My father is a big fan of her. We have seen her live program in Mumbai. I think it was in Dinanath Mangeshkar hall somewhere in 1977/78. As Sudhirji has mentioned that this movie was again recreated by Basu Chatterjee, I remember that Parineeta (bengali story) was also made three times- Parineeta, Sankalp & again Pareenita. Devdas was also made three times. I know that there must be few more movies in the same category. Thank you again for this valuable info.

juthika Roy sang 2 songs in Ratnadeep-52 and 2 songs in Lalkaar-56.
There are a few instances when remakes of earlier films were made.Some examples are-
Mother India-57 remake of Aurat-40
Amar-54 remake of Mala-41
Ghar basake dekho-63 remake of grihasthi-48
Biradari-66 remake of Malkin-53.
There might be few more such instances also.

It is not SANKALP I think, it is SANKOCH(starring sulakshana pandit,vikram,jeetendra)Am I right?

Yes,it was SANKOCH-1976,and not Sankalp-1974.

Yes, you are right. It was Sankoch with Bandhi re kahe preet…..song by Sulakshana Pandit. Thanks for the list of “recreated movies”. Very interesting to find out that some of them were average/hits.

by the way,this film was based on the novel of the same name,by Prabhat kumar mukherjee.

The song was ‘preet kiye dukh hoye’-film Ratnadeep-1952,posted on 3-9-2011.
