Today’s song is the last and final song from an obscure, ordinary social film – Basera-1950.
It was the only film made by Watan Pictures, Bombay, owned by Shaikh Ataulla khan. It was directed by Inayat Abdulla. He was a small time actor earlier, before he migrated to Pakistan. The Lyricist was Sardar Ilham khan. The music was by M.A.Rauf, who put the suffix “Osmania” to indicate his origin- Hyderabad Deccan, the Nizam State till 1948.
