Today (3 october 2014) is the birthday of J P Datta. J P Datta, a chip of the old block was the son of O P Datta and he made his mark in his debut movie itself, which was “Ghulaami” (1985).
Four songs from this movie (including one song with three versions)have been discussed in the past.
On the occasion of J P Datta’s birth anniversary, here is the third song from “Ghulaami” (1985). This song is sung by Shabbir Kumar, Manhar Udhas and Suresh Wadkar. Gulzar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The song is picturised on Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Kulbhushan Kharbanda,Anita Raj etc.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra who informs me that this song, which has two versions, is the final song from this movie. We have no HFGK till now for movies beyond 1980 so I have to take the words of Prakashchandra for it. And so, “Ghulaami” (1985) has now joined the list of movies that that all their songs covered in the blog.
