Hindi movies had some memorable “chana zor garam” songs beginning from as early as 1940. The first chana zor garam song was Chane jor garam babu in “Bandhan” (1940). The next such song came up in 1956 which was Chana zor garam babu main laayaa mazedaar in “Naya Andaaz”(1956). The next “Chana zor” song came up in “Kraanti”(1981).
I am not sure what “chana masaaledaar” means. Is it same as “chana zor” ? I have eaten “Chana zor” bought from “chana zor” vendors, but do not recall any “chana masaaledaar” vendor.
Here is a “chane masaaledaar” song from “Naseeb”(1945). This song is sung by Zohrabai Ambalewaali and Hamida Bano. Rammurty Chaturvedi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Pt Govindram.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
