Blog Day : 3618 Post No. : 14421

“Nishaana”(1950) was directed by M H Wazahat for M & T Films, Bombay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Madhubala, Geeta Bali, Kanhaiyalal, Yakoob, Nawab Kashmiri, Durga Khote, Cuckkoo, Shyama, Shanti Madhok, Ahmad Agha, Shah, Balam, Guru, Basu, Nazafi etc in it.

The movie had eight songs in it. Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.

Here is the fifth song from “Nishaana”(1950) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Nakshab is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khursheed Anwar.

Only the audio of this song is available. My guess is that the song might have been picturised on Madhubala. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Wo rooth gaye dil toot gaya (Nishaana)(1950) Singer-Geeta Dutt, Lyrics-Nakshab, MD-Khursheed Anwar

Lyrics

wo rooth gaye dil toot gayaa
duniyaa mein hamaaraa koi nahin
ae duniyaa waalon ham jaisaa
taqdeer kaa maaraa koi nahin

ab dukh kaa bhanwar hai aur dil hai
o o
kashti ko bachaana mushqil hai
ab dukh kaa bhanwar hai aur dil hai
kashti ko bachaanaa mushqil hai
majdhaar mein maajhi chhod gayaa
toofaan hai kinaaraa koi nahin
ae duniyaawaalon ham jaisaa
taqdeer kaa maaraa koi nahin

khushiyon kaa zamaanaa beet gaya o o o
ulfat kaa fasaanaa khatm huaa
khushiyon kaa zamaanaa beet gaya o
ulfat kaa fasaanaa khatm huaa
jeene ki tamannaa kyaa hogi
jeene kaa sahaaraa koi nahin
wo rooth gaye dil toot gayaa
duniyaa mein hamaaraa koi nahin
ae duniyaawaalon ham jaisaa
taqdeer kaa maaraa koi nahin
