I have listened to this song lots of times. But I was not aware till now which movie this song is from, and who figured in the picturisation.

When one listens to this song, and finds out that Shankar Jaikishan are the music directors and Hasrat Jaipuri the lyricist, then one can safely assume that this Rafi song is picturised on Shammi. And indeed, I have thought so about this song for more than four decades. It indeed seems to fulfil all the ingredients that one had in a Shammi Kapoor movie.
