“Taj”(1956) had virtually the same team as “Naagin” (1954). The makers of “Taj” (1956) obviously hoped to replicate the commercial success of “Naagin” 91954) by doing that. I am not sure how much of a commercial success “Taj” (1956) was. It was certainly nowhere close to “Naagin” (1954), that is for sure.

“Ek Jhalak” (1957) is a movie that starred Pradeep Kumar,Vyjyanti Mala, Rajendra Kumar, Anita Guha,Pran, Om Prakash,Mubarak etc. This movie had some nice songs in it. I have so far discussed two songs from this movie.

There have been several Hindi movies called “Bandhan”. The oldest such movie was “Bandhan” (1938) which had music by Saraswati Devi. Then there was a Rajesh Khanna starrer “Bandhan” (1969) that had music by Kalyanji Anandji.

“Heer” (1956) is a by now forgotten movie. This movie had Pradeep Kumar and Nutan in lead roles.

“Harishchandra Taramati” (1963) was a mythological movie in which Prithviraj Kapoor and Jaimala had played the lead (and title) roles with Bablu playing their son.

Hemant Kumar was one of those all rounders who was equally competent in singing as well as composing songs. And though he was a music director, he was not averse to singing under the music direction of others. That way, he is different from other music directors, who mostly sang only under their own music direction. Hemant Kumar, on the other hand , sang under the direction of several leading music directors of those days.

“Sardaar” (1955) is an obscure movie and very little details are available about this movie. Even its songs are extremely difficult to come by though the songs of this movie were popular during its days.
