O zindagi ke dene waale

I have discussed several songs from “Naagin” (1954) in the past, six to be exact. But this movie had so many songs in it that a few songs are still at large and remain to be posted.
Here is one such song. This song is sung by Hemant Kumar. The picturisation is what you expect in African safari movies of the past where tourists would be caught by the natives and tied to the stake and then the natives dressed in their best feathers and skins would dance around them before cooking them on the pot.
Hindi movies have suitably indigenised this scenario. Here, instead of cooking them on the pot, the tourists (here our lead actors) are sacrificed to the esoteric native gods. And being Hindi movies, such songs give a readymade opportunity for a song and dance.
A similar song and dance ensue here, with lyrics that are largely gibberish.The lead actors do not take it lying down. They make attemps to get away ? How ? simple ! By singing a song calling the Gods to come to their rescue. 😀
Here is this song “O Zindagi ke dene waale” from “Naagin” (1954) which is lip synced by Pradeep Kumar. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Hemant Kumar is the music director as well.

Nagin, yes! This was the film which had swept the entire nation by its enchanting songs.Despite being a costume B grade film with unbelievable situations, only due to its musical strength it became a hit and a money grosser.
