Such movies were regarded as obscene and were given A certificates. “Daku Bhupat” (1960) is an extremely obscure movie by now. The movie was a Jalaruha Production movie. Ramesh Gupta was the director and the movie had N T Rama Rao, Anjali Devi, Ramesh Kumar, Nandu, Majmudar etc in it. It appears that the movie was a remake of some hit Telugu movie, or perhaps dubbed version of the Telugu movie. Not just the actors of Telugu movie industry, even singers from South Indian movie industry were used in this movie. In other words, the songs were resung in Hindi by South Indian singers and used in the Hindi version.
