Here is the promised happy, positive song. Another Rafi solo from the film ‘Goonj’ (1952). The composer for this movie is Sardul Kwatra and lyrics for this song are written by D. N. Madhok. The film stars one time superstar Suresh and Suraiya.

There are some songs which I found on youtube and saved for future posts. My Draft boxes are full of them. I was just going through the draft boxes, to sent such lyrics to Atul ji, where inevitably some songs are so touching and truthful, that I decided to write the post myself.

A very special song for Mohammad Rafi fans. This is what is real effortless singing. He makes it sound as if it is his ‘baayen haathh ka khel’. If what I say does not make sense, than one can only listen to this song and confirm. What range and what smoothness of voice and diction. And adding the punjabi tadka too in a spoken line towards the end of the song.
