This song from “Joru Ka Bhai” (1955) is sung by Lata. The lyrics of this song sound similar to a Talat Mehmood song from this movie, but the lyrics are different and that has forced me to treat this song as a different song and not as a multiple version song.

In this blog, I treat the number of songs discussed as the same as the number of posts. For instance, as of now, it is mentioned that the blog has 4876 songs. But it is not true. It means that this blog had 4876 posts. Multiple version songs, where songs with same lyrics are sung by different artists are discussed in one post in this blog, but they are really different songs. If one begins to count the number of songs that way (which is the actual way of counting songs), then this blog has already has already discussed over 5000 songs. “Swami Vivekanand” (1955), by now an obscure movie on the life of Swami Vivekanand, was produced and directed by Amar Mallick. This movie had Ajit Prakash, Suprabha Mukerji, Bharati Devi, Manoranjan Bhattacharji, Anuva Gupta etc in it. This movie obviously was not meant to entertain and as a rsult the movie did not do well at the box office.

Greetings to all, on the occasion of Durga Ashtami festival today, as well as he continuing celebrations of Navratris. Jai Mata Di.

‘Navratri’ means ‘nine nights’, a celebration to honor the Mother Goddess, that lasts for 9 days. There are many legends attached to the festival of Navratri, all of them related to Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms.
