“Bijli”(1950) was directed by Sushil Sahu for Hindustan Chitra, Bombay. This “social” movie had Rehana, Ramesh Gupta, Sitara, Vilas Mohbe, Paro, Badri Prasd, Sushir Sahu, Amirbai Karnataki, Satya Narayan, Narbada Shankar, C L Shah, Kanta, Kazmi etc in it.

Searching for and locating the last few songs in a list always becomes a challenge, and the pace slows down considerably. In the process of completing the posting of all known songs of Mukesh till 1950, getting the last few remaining songs is turning out to be quite an effort. ‘Bijli’ is a non-descript and an obscure film from 1950. Produced under the banner of Hindustan Chitra, Bombay, the film is directed by Sushil Sahu. The cast of actors includes Rehana, Ramesh Gupta, Sitara, Vilas Mohbe, Paro, Badri Prasad, Sushil Sahu, Ameer Karnataki, Satya Narayan, Narbada Shankar, C L Shah, Kanta, Kazmi etc. The music department is well staffed with lyrics coming from the pen of Bharat Vyas, and the music from the mind of Khemchand Prakash.

When I came to know that Shamshad Begam (14 april 1919- 23 april 2013) was no more, I decided to discuss some rare songs sung by her. Accordingly, I some rare songs sung by Shamshad Begam were discussed yesterday (24 april 2013). Those songs were rare, but their links were still available. It was only in one case that the link available contained incompele song and so I uploaded a complete version of the song to enable me to discuss that.
