Today (1 March 2025) is the 83rd birthday of Indrani Mukherjee (born on March 01, 1942). I have watched some of her 1960s’ films mostly having pious and graceful roles. She was born in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) in a Bengali Brahmin family. Her father was a doctor and her mother, a housewife. She did her early schooling in Allahabad and completed her high school studies in Kolkata. From her childhood, she was interested in Hindi films.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No.52

As the title of the post suggests, in this post we have a ‘blog ten-year challenge’ song to listen to.
The month of ‘March’ ten years back in ‘2013’ clocked a ‘double century’ and added sixteen more song to it, making the total of ‘216’ songs in the month.
That gives us an average of 6.96 songs per day or almost seven songs per day.

The movie had Indrani Mukherjee, Ravindra Kapoor, Jeevan, Tabassum,Leela Mishra,Prem Chopra, Murad, Sunder, Shammi,Tuntun,Mridula, S N Tripathi, Mumtaz Begum, Babu Raje, Khursheed, RajKishore, Susheela, Sheela Kashmiri, Chanda Bai, Daya Devi, Ajeet , Maula, Omprakash, Munshi Munakka, Safdar, RadheShyam, Ameeta, Anwari, Meera, Helen, Shashi, Chhunni etc in it.

What a find!! Bless this YouTube, and all the scattered music lovers all over the globe. Somewhere, someone is holding on to some fabulous music and then voila, it appears on the net. A song I have been searching for a long time. I am sure it happens with others also; it starts with the thought – there is something one is missing. At times it will pass through the mind, and then get folded under some other thoughts. When I log in online, there are so many other things to look for, that are the significant need for the current series of posts, that this one (and many other such things) do not readily jump to the front line. And then one day, I am searching for something else, when I bump into this one thing, completely out of the blue, and the only expression I can manage at the moment is “O My God”.
