Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No.52

As the title of the post suggests, in this post we have a ‘blog ten-year challenge’ song to listen to.
The month of ‘March’ ten years back in ‘2013’ clocked a ‘double century’ and added sixteen more song to it, making the total of ‘216’ songs in the month.
That gives us an average of 6.96 songs per day or almost seven songs per day.
On this day ten years ago (21 march 2013), eight songswere posted on the blog as per details given below:-

From the above table we can see that out of eight movies represented on the blog ‘four’ movies have achieved ‘Yippeeee’ed’ status on the blog i.e. all songs from these four movies viz. ‘Parchhaain-1952’, ‘Dr.Vidya-1962’, ‘Gumnaam-1965’ and ‘Chhoti Chhoti Baatein-1965’ have been covered on the blog.
So, four movies are eligible for Blog ten Year Challenge today as they still have a few songs left to be covered on the blog.
In this post let us have a song from the movie ‘Kunwaari-1966’
“Kunwaari-1966” was produced by R N Mandloi for Ravi Kala Chitra Production. It was directed by S N Tripathi.
The movie had Indrani Mukherjee, Ravindra Kapoor, Jeevan, Tabassum, Leela Mishra, Prem Chopra, Murad, Sunder, Shammi, Tuntun, Mridula, S N Tripathi, Mumtaz Begum, Babu Raje, Khursheed, Raj Kishore, Susheela, Sheela Kashmiri, Chanda Bai, Daya Devi, Ajeet, Maula, Omprakash, Munshi Munakka, Safdar, Radhe Shyam, Ameeta, Anwari, Meera, Helen, Shashi, Chhunni etc in it.
“Kunwaari-1966” has nine songs sin it. Seven of them were penned by Shailendra and two by B.D. Mishra. Music for this movie was composed by S.N. Tripathi.
Three songs from this movie have been posted on the blog so far.
The song presented in this post is the fourth song from this movie to appear on the blog. It is sung by Lata Mangeshkar and its lyrics are by Shailendra.
Only the audio of the complete song is available. The partial video of the song shows the song getting played in the background with the movie titles on screen and we can see Shashi, Chunni, Sheila, Kashmiri and Jeevan in the picturisation (as noted by Prakashchandra while sharing the lyrics of this song).
This song is a lovely melodious song to listen to with the magical words of Shailendra and the composition of S.N. Tripathi perfectly bringing the message in the song.
