“Mehbooba” (1954) was a K Amarnath Productions movie. It was produceed and directed by K Amarnath. The movie had Shammi Kapoor, Nalini Jaywant, Hiralal, Amar, W. M. Khan, Achala Sachdev, Gope, Amrit Rana, Ramesh Thakur etc in it.

I had not heard about this movie called “Mehbooba” (1954). Now I know that this was a movie starring Shammi Kapoor and Nalini Jaiwant. Though it must be said that Shammi Kapoor was more like a struggler than a star at that time.

It is a song that is less popular than other songs from this movie. And reasons are not too far to seek. It is a semi classical song, and such songs are rarely popular with lay audience.
