Every song that marks the completion of a century is a special song for this blog and we celebrate it by discussing a special song on that occasion. There have been 44 such occasions for this blog.

“Chakradhaari” (1954) is a religious/mythological movie and one expects its songs to be mainly prayers etc. And indeed there are several such songs. But this movie also has songs that are more “mainstream” in the sense that they have more to do more with human relations rather than with the Almighty.

“Baap Beti” (1954) is a very obscure movie and its songs are even more obscure. But what nice songs this movie has !
Here is a lovely song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and chorus. Only the audio of this song is available, so it is difficult to guess how and whom this song is picturised. My guess is that a music teacher is teaching music to her pupils in this song.

I have discussed as many as nine songs from “Nastik” (1954) and I have yet to run out of songs to discuss from this movie !
Here is another song from this movie. This is a “growing up” genre of thing. Nalini Jaiwant is reaching pubery and she is developing the tender feelings of the feelings of love and attraction towards of other gender. The feelings of a girl thus growing up has been expressed beautifully in this song which is penned by Pradeep. Lata is the singer and music is composed by C Ramchandra.

“Amar Rahe Ye Pyaar” (1961) is a movie about which very little information is available online. The only information I have been able to collect about the starcast of this movie is that it had Nalini Jaiwant, Rajendra Kumar and Nanda in it. Apparently, this movie flopped at the box office despite the presence of Jubilee Kumar in it.
