“Namoona” (1949) was one of the earlier movies of Dev Anand, though Kishore Sahu was credited as the main hero of this movie. Kalpana Kartik was the heroine of this movie.

In Bollywood movies, western music was used as early as 1940s itself. Early pioneers of this kind of music were C Ramchandra, Vinod etc.
Here we find Naushad using “western” kind of music. In fact it is more like a fusion of desi and western music.

Many of the songs that I post in this blog may be chronologically old, but they are new for me since I have been discovering them only just now. And I find them such refreshing songs to listen to, and watch to. It is as if one magically gets teleported to that era and gets an experience of living in that era for a few minutes. And it is a wonderful experience.
