I always thought it was necessary to have some degree of writing pedigree to claim to have the famed “writer’s block” problem but, if the last few days are any indication, apparently this affliction is not limited to the writing community.

Here is another comedy song from the film Nagina-1951, featuring Gope and Mohana at a party hosted by Heeralal.
Nagina was a film made by Dalsukh Pancholi. He was the man who had to run away from Lahore leaving all his empire of film production. Pancholi studio in Lahore was not just a film making place,it was an Institution for budding artistes in varioue faculties like acting, direction and music. This is a comedy song from film NAGINA-51. The singers are Rafi and Shamshad. This was a Nutan- Nasir Khan film.
Sometime back I finished reading Nutan’s Biography, written by her close friend and noted journalist, Lalita Tamhane. The book is titled ‘ ASEN MEE…NASEN MEE ‘ (I may be…I may not be). Many interesting things which are not well known are mentioned in this book. I will try to describe a part of it, from Nutan’s early career, as I remember. Thanks to Lalita Tamhane-the copyright holder.

There are two types of films, for which sure shot captive audience are readily available anytime. They are-

Chris Gayle’s recent record breaking feat in the 20/20 match at Bangalore, nowhere near compares with Atul ji’s performance on this blog. 😀 😀
I would challenge Chris Gayle to continue scoring this way, even for just one more match. Oh, I am so confident that he will not be able to repeat his performance. Not very soon, and neither so convincingly. But on our blog, the centuries being posted by Atul ji are remarkable – consistent, and incessant in their regularity. Just two weeks, give or take a day, and there we are, another century notched up on the board.

KAPOOR Khandaan is called the First family of Bollywood, not for nothing !
Starting with Prithwiraj Kapoor till Kareena and Ranbir, all through the generations, they have been shining in the film industry. This is not just because they belonged to the Kapoor khandaan. In film industry, particularly in the acting field, one can not survive for long, if one has no talent or if he is not doing hard work. One’ s ancestry alone is not acceptable to the Indian audience. This has been proved time and again. For example, Raaj kumar, Raj Babbar, Rajendra Kumar or Shashi Kapoor were successful actors, but what happened to their sons ?
