‘Doosri Dulhan’ (1983) was produced by Dharampal Gupta and was directed by Lekh Tandon who also wrote screenplay and dialogues. The cast included Sharmila Tagore, Victor Bannerjee, Shabana Azmi, Sudhir, T P Jain, Shahid Khan, Sudhir Dalvi, Leela Mishra, Nitin Sethi, Paro and Master Manish etc. Madan Puri made a guest appearance in the film. The film was based on a play written by a well-known Marathi playwright and journalist, Anil Barve.

Hullo Atuldom
For this post, I should thank our trusted Doordarshan National channel. I saw ‘Doosri Dulhan’ (which had had its theatrical release on 14th October 1983) in the day. Found a song in it, where the concerned actress played a character which was almost similar to the character she had played in the film ‘Mandi’ (1983) don’t know if she shot for the two films simultaneously or which film followed which film!!!. Also, the way she played the character reminded me, briefly, of Sharmila Tagore from ‘Mausam’ (1975).
