The movie had Trilok Kapoor, Nirupa Roy, Bipin Gupta, Sapru, Roop Kumar, Yashodhara Katju, Jankidas , Jagdeesh Kanwal, Babu Raje, Gadadhar Sharma, Bheem, Rooplaxmi,Mayadas, Kanchan Mala, Heera Sawant,Roopmati etc in it.

“Waaman Avtaar” (1955) is one of those B grade mythological/religious movies that the mainstream movie goers did not patronise. The movie may not have been a big hit, but I guess that a movie made on such shoe string budget can always earn a small and tidy profit for its makers.

In olden days, whenever a King had to make any public announcement, he would sent a royal announcer who would go to a public place, namely a market or a square. He would have a drummer with a huge Nagaada (an Indian musical drum) with him. The nagaadaa player was called nagaadchi.
