Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

All line clear

Posted on: April 13, 2010

I am aware of the more popular songs from this movie, but I had never heard this song from “Chori Chori” (1956) !

Unlike other songs from this movie which are sung by Manna Dey and Lata and picturised on the lead actors, this song is sung by Rafi. Rafi singing a song in “Chori Chori” (1956) ! I was not aware. Nor was I aware that Johny Walker was there in this movie.

Yes, this song is a comedy song sung by Rafi and picturised on Johny Walker and his “altan paltan”, namely his huge wife and several kids. The song also shows Bhagwan and his wife on a scooter.

Here is this lovely comedy song which is sung with gusto by Rafi. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist and Shankar Jaikishan composed the music.

Lyrics

All line clear
all line clear rr
all line clear
aage badho aage challo
chhoti si ye altan paltan
fauz hai mere ghar ki
saath hamaare toap ka golaa
baat nahin hai darr ki
all line clear
all line clear
line clear hai bhai

kabhi khhaali gayaa na nishaanaa
mujhse takraayegaa kyaa zamaanaa
kabhi khaali gayaa na nishaanaa
mujhse takraayegaa kyaa zamaanaa
haaye re duniyaa aur duniyaadaari
aakhir padaa sar jhhukaanaa
pappa
arre chup
all line clear
all line clear
aage badho aage challo
chhoti si ye altan paltan
fauz hai mere ghar ki
arre saath hamaare toap ka golaa
baat nahin hai darr ki
all line clear
all line clear
line clear hai bhai

geet gaate huye ham chale hain
ye na poochho bade diljale hain
geet gaate huye ham chale hain
ye na poochho bade diljale hain
dil mein bithaalo ae duniyaa waalon
ham bhi bade manchale hain
pappa
dhhat tere ki
all line clear
all line clear
aage badho aage chalo
chhoti si ye altan paltan
fauz hai mere ghar ki
saath hamaare toap ka golaa
baat nahin hai darr ki
all line clear rr
all line clear
line clear hai bhai

Was this the signature tune for a childrens programme on sundays at one ‘o’ clock on Radio Ceylon. Does any one remember ?
