Main khushnaseeb hoon

I had once posted a song in which Ajit acted as the hero and sang a duet too.
Here is another such song where Ajit sings a duet with Shakila. The movie is “Tower House”, which is known for that immortal song “ae mere dile nadaan tu gham se na ghabraana” (already posted).
Asad Bhopali is the lyricist whereas Ravi composed the music for this song. Mukesh and Lata sang this song.
PS-This song is a multiple version song. It has a Mukesh solo version as well.

Song-Main khushnaseeb hoon (Tower House) (1962) Singer-Mukesh, Lata, Lyrics-Asad Bhopali, MD-Ravi
Lyrics
Main khushnaseeb hoon mujhko kisi ka pyaar mila
Main khushnaseeb hoon mujhko kisi ka pyaar mila
bada haseen mere dil ka raazdaar mila
main khushnaseeb hoon
hai dil me pyaar jabaan chup jhuki jhuki nazren
hai dil me pyaar jabaan chup jhuki jhuki nazren
ajab adaa se koi aaj pahli baar milaa
ajab adaa se koi aaj pahli baar milaa
main khushnaseeb hoon
kisi ko paake mere dil ka haal mat poocho
kisi ko paake mere dil ka haal mat poocho
ke jaise saare zamaane se ikhtiyaar milaa
ke jaise saare zamaane se ikhtiyaar milaa
main khushnaseeb hoon
kisi ne poore kiye aaj pyaar ke waade
kisi ne poore kiye aaj pyaar ke waade
meri wafa ka sila mujhko shaandaar milaa
meri wafa ka sila mujhko shaandaar milaa
main khushnaseeb hoon
mere chaman ka har ik phool muskuraane laga
mere chaman ka har ik phool muskuraane laga
wo kya mile ke mujhe muft me bahaar mila
wo kya mile ke mujhe muft me bahaar mila
main khushnaseeb hoon mujhko kisi ka pyaar mila
main khushnaseeb hoon

Brilliant Song – melodies & harmonies flow like….wow!
By the way Atul, 2nd Antara, 3rd & 4th lines should read “ikhtiyaar mila” and not “ikhtiyaar liyaa”
Thanks for posting it…brings back great memories.

It is one of very passionate songs sung by Mukesh, I, in my college life, used to sing. Of late I wished I could sing it with accuracy and to keep it my songs album. I failed to get it, but, thanks I could at least listen to it after so long. I have agood lot of very sweet songs that are not available on CDs in Market.
I wish to convey sincere thanks for the site that make available so good facility of not only getting the lyrics of a song but video also, making it possible to recall the scene and music.
I wish to get mp3 file-type of a song of a few very sweet song, could it be possible to get from you or some other site. We can download a song from some sites but due to unsystematic record (File name) building makes it difficult to search it out therein.
Thanks gain with warm regards & Merry Christmas.

Main Khush Naseeb Hoon …..
I may mention that the wordings in the 2nd stanza should read as:
Ke jaise saare zamaane pe (or se?) ikhtiyaar mila.
Similarly the line in the 4th stanza should go as:
Wo kya mile ke mujhe mausam-e bahaar mila.
The music for this immortal song seems to have been composed not by Ravi but by some angel from the sky who came down on the earth to compose such a marvel & left back for the heavenly abode in March 2012. The rare combination of Asad Bhopali, Ravi, Lata & Mukesh culminated in such a wonderful song where music flows like a river.
Ravi’s trio-word creation Ye Hawa Ye Hawa Ye Hawa (Gumraah) & Faza Bhi Hai (Nikaah) are wonderful enough to take you to another world of pleasure. Ravi sure had some supernatural imagination which did not belong to this earth.
