When we watch old Bollywood movies , we tend to have stereotypical images of certain characters of these movies. For example, we tend to think that villains and dancers were supposed to have no lives and no feelings unlike the heroes and heroines of the movies.

I have mentioned it in the past that “Desh Premi” (1982) was one Manmohan Desai movie that I liked a lot. To my mind, it was a nice and entertaining movie.

“Haathi Mere Saathi” (1971) was a delight for kids when this movie was first released. It had everything that one needed. It had Rajesh Khanna, and it had elephants doing wonderful stuffs. What more does a kid and those young at heart want ?
