“Yahudi Ki Ladki” (1933) is the first movie in which K L Saigal’s voice was first heard in a Hindi movie. And this voice took the nation by storm.

“Prem Parbat” (1973) is a movie starring Hema Malini,Rehana sultaan, Nana Palsikar, Aghaa, Sanjana, Satish Kaul etc. The movie sank without a trace. And the video of this movie is apparently no longer available. So it is not possible to tell for sure what kind of a movie it was.

“Teen Sardaar” (1965) was a B grade movie with Randhawa, Parveen Chaudhary, Meenakshi, Azad etc in it. This movie today is as obscure as any B grade movie can be. Very little is known about this movie, and that includes its music.

“Baabar” (1960), as the name suggests, is based on the life of Babar,the first Mughal emperor of India.

This movie had actors like Gajanan Jageerdar,Azra,Sohan,Kapila,Shubha Khote,Randhir,Badri Prasad, Roopmala etc. Most of these actors do not ring any bells for me.

“Do Dil” (1965) is a movie starring Vishwajeet and Rajshree. Just as Shammi Kapoor movies had wonderful music composed by Shankar Jaikishan, Vishwajeet movies tended to have great music by Hemant Kumar. Of course the singing voices remained the same.

Lata was Madan Mohan’s female singer of choice, but it does not mean that he has not used other female singers in his songs. Curiously enough, Madan Mohan did not use the voice of Lata in the movie called “Bombay Race Course” (1965). The female singers in this movie were Asha Bhonsle and Suman Kalyanpur.
