What came first ? Chicken or the egg ? This is perhaps one of the longest standing questions of all time. The question has not yet been resolved to this date. Naturally, of course.
Here is a fun song which begins with this line and then deals with some other equally and even more fun lines.
This song is sung superbly by Rafi. The song is picturised as a stage song , where Jagdeep, donning different constumes, lip syncs the song. There have been occasions where it was felt that some great Rafi songs were wasted because they were picturised on Jagdeep, but here is a song which was tailormade for Jagdeep and Jagdeep has done full justice to the song. The song also shows others like Jeewan, Sundar etc in it.
The people involved in the picturisation deserve kudos for their imagination and implementation which gave us this great picturisation.
Prem Dhawan, the lyricist came up with some great fun lines in this song. The song is composed by S N Tripathi, who is known more for serious semi classical compositions rather than a fun song like this. The movie is called “Raja” (1963). I know I know, there are so many movie named after Raja and not a single movie named after me. Badi naainsaafi hai !
What a gem of a song ! Music lovers need to be aware of this song if they are not aware of it already.

You are more likely to find a song with my dog’s name in it- viz “Bhole o bhole”, for instance. 🙂
