Today (3rd March) is the 86th birhday of Ravi. On this occasion, we in this blog wish him a very happy birthday and wish him a long and healthy life.
Ravi, though not as celebrated as a few other music directors of the golden era has been one of the major music directors of the era. I in fact describe him as the creator of iconic songs. A large number of iconic songs that have gone on to become a part of our lives have been composed by Ravi, though people may not always be aware of this fact.
On the occasion of his birthday, here is a song composed by Ravi. This song , which has happy as well as sad versions is sung by Rafi. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. The song is picturised on Sunil Dutt. The movie is “Ye Raaste Hai Pyaar Ke” (1963) which was an Ajanta Arts presentation and it was directed by R K Nayyar. This movie was based on the real life Nanawati case which had caught the imagination of Indians those days.
