Sun chaand meri ye daastaan

Posted on: October 27, 2012

“Naag Jyoti” (1963) was a Swastik Films Production. It was directed by Shantilal Soni. this B grade mythological movie had Mahipal, Anita Guha, Sunder, Ratnamala, Rajen Haksar, Khurshid etc in it.

Sardar Malik, whose sixth death anniversary falls today (27 october), was the music director of this movie.

Here is a forgotten song from this obscure movie. This song is sung by Mukesh. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Khyati Bhatt.

Song-Sun chaand meri ye daastaan (Naag Jyoti)(1963) Singer-Mukesh, Lyrics-Bharat Vyas, MD-Sardar Malik

Lyrics(Provided by Khyati Bhatt)

sun chaand meri ye daastaan
main kahoon tujhe ya ki na kahoon
teri chaandni tere paas hai
mujhe ye bata main kahaan rahoon
sun chaand meri ye daastaan

khili rain mein dekho chain se
hai ye saara aalam so rahaa
tere in sitaaron ki chhaaon mein
main akela chup chup ro rahaa
lagi aag birhaa ki ang mein
main sahoon ise ya ki na sahoon
main sahoon ise ya ki na sahoon
sun chaand meri ye daastaan

wo nazar jo dil mein utar gayi
jaise chubh gaya koi shool ho
wo hatheli par tera mukh saja
jaise phool par koi phool ho
yoon bahe nadi teri yaad ki
main bahoon yahaan ya ki na bahoon
main bahoon yahaan ya ki na bahoon
sun chaand meri ye daastaan
