“Parchhaain” (1952) was a Rajkamal Pictures Production. It was produced and directed by V Shantaram. The movie had V Shantaram, Sandhya, Jayshree, Lalita Pawar, Wasti, G. Nirula, Shams Lucknavi, Saroj, Baran, Nimbalkar etc in it.
As many as six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie.
The song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Sandhya. The picturisation shows V Shantaram entering his home and did not notice that a letter to him from Jayshree is lying at the doorstep. We walks and his shoe kicks the letter under the furniture where it would be lying undiscovered. It is the contents of that letter that is picturised as this song.
Noor Lucknowi is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

She is Jayshree. But you must be aware that Sandhya was also in the movie, as a second female lead.

Very rightly said ONE OF THE BEST AUDIO OF CR-LATA team,We in our circle always discussed abt teams of variouse Music Directors with lataji,we found that there was ANOTHER lataji in CR,Anil Biswas,Husnlal-Bhagatram’s songs.I dont know isit true or not ?but more respected music lovers can write ON THIS opinion.I will be happy to listen on this subject.ALL songs of PARCHHAIN are rare gems its like that ,the availablity is easy so we dont take so much care of these songs BUT if these were not easily avlble,then we would have froced to pay handsome amount for PARCHHAIN songs to get it recorded for ourselves.I m sure that duet DIL DIL SE KEH RAHA HAI…most of the music lover would say
ARE YAAR YE KAUN SI FILM KA GEET HAI.

That was a quick post! This song/movie is ONE OF THE BEST OF CR-LATA DUO. I cherished Arunji’s posts on series of this duo and was checking my CDs for more songs by them. I was surprised that this song was missing from the blog.
